Alexander Palkovsky

Growing up in Vancouver, surrounded by the stunning nature of Canada’s west coast, Alexander developed a deep respect for the environment from an early age. His parents taught him to conserve resources, recycle, and respect nature. Nature shaped his upbringing, but even then, he became aware of the early impacts of climate change threatening the environment.

This awareness became the foundation of his lifelong mission: to protect and restore the planet, while harnessing the power of business to drive meaningful change.

He completed his undergraduate studies at Ivey Business School in Canada, specializing in sustainability, where he received the Ivey Emerging Leader Award (2014) for green projects he developed. During a semester at the Norwegian School of Economics, he deepened his understanding of renewable energy and natural resources — fields that would shape his future career.

He earned his master’s degree at one of Europe’s leading institutions — IESE Business School, University of Navarra, completing an Executive MBA and serving as a Senior Associate at IESE’s Institute for Sustainable Leadership.

In 2015, he began his professional career with a solar energy investment fund in Toronto, leading the development of over 50 solar energy projects, which today generate clean electricity for more than 10,000 Canadian homes. In recognition of this work, he received Canada’s New Leader in the Solar Industry Award in 2017.

That same year, he joined Brookfield Renewable, one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies. Working across operations, market research, finance, and project development, he gained a comprehensive understanding of clean energy supply chains.

In 2019, he took on the challenge of developing sustainable material supply chains for the energy transition and modern society. He dedicated himself to building best-practice models that prioritize environmental stewardship, community engagement, and the use of innovative technologies.
